Mulgrave Bowling Club is located in the village of Lythe and the green was opened in 2010. The club enjoys some of the best playing facilities in the area, the green is in excellent condition and it shares the use of the modern pavilion with the cricket and football teams. Together they form the Mulgrave Community Sports Association (Sport Mulgrave).
Mulgrave Bowling Club has always welcomed players with a range of abilities and help is available for players who are new to flat green bowling. The Club holds three open sessions a week for members to come along and take part in competitive matches.
The Club plays in two leagues – Cleveland Afternoon League and Langbaurgh Triples – and also offers everyone the chance to play in the friendly matches against local clubs that are arranged throughout the season. In-house competitions are arranged every season so there are plenty of opportunities to play.
Members are able to play anytime when the green is open and it is not being used for matches; they have a key to the pavilion so that they can access all the necessary equipment. The Club works hard to maintain the green and relies on a team of volunteers. Anyone interested in joining the club is able to play for a few sessions before being asked to become a member.
